Fantawild Holdings Inc., a leading one-stop solution provider in the theme park industry, is celebrating the opening of a new theme park in Ningbo, Zhejiang, China. Boonie Bears Bay is the latest addition to the Ningbo Fantawild Tourism Resort, and it opened to the public on 16 August with a grand ceremony.
Ningbo Fantawild Tourism Resort draws a wide range of tourists to the city. Over 20 million people have visited the resort’s other two parks, Oriental Heritage and Glorious Orient, since they opened in 2016. Boonie Bears Bay has themed streets, Boonie Bears Water Park, Boonie Bears Bay Hotel, eateries, gift stores, more than 20 indoor and outdoor attractions, and almost 100 landscape designs. It gives guests a one-stop shop with retail stores, entertainment venues, lodging, and food alternatives.
With its cutting-edge entertainment options and nighttime activities, the new park will revitalise the local economy and tourism sector.
A range of attractions
Inspired by the popular Boonie Bears animated IP, themed attractions include a dynamic dome theatre, where guests enter the fantastic sci-fi world of Back to Earth for a galactic quest, and Toy Box Fun, an indoor tracked ride that invites visitors to join the Boonie Squad as they venture through the minuscule world of Vick’s toy box.
The indoor children’s playground, Boonie Cubs World, has plenty to entertain young visitors. Here, kids can learn through play and meaningful interactions. Baby Adventurer takes youngsters to the magical world of Fantastica, where nature is explored by climbing, sliding, crawling, and swinging. There are also performances in the Dream Theater, a wind tunnel simulation, a Boonie Bears-themed theatre called Bay Cineplex, and a Ferris wheel.
Food and beverage options include Boonie Bears Burger House and another BoonieBears-themed restaurant with a playground for kids. Guests can also buy souvenirs from the park’s shops.
Boonie Bears-themed water park
This new park is also home to a Boonie Bears-themed water park inspired by the movie Blast Into the Past, with four unique aquatic attractions alongside landscape designs, performances, and several interactive activities.
Hurricane Bay features a wave machine, while Boonie Bears Village offers water gun battles, floating bridges, and other fun activities. Big Trumpet is a thrilling water attraction where guests can slide down from incredible heights, and Rainbow Slide offers six unique and colourful slides down which visitors can race at lightning speed against friends and family.
Fantawild opened the latest addition to its Beautiful China trilogy this summer on 19 July. The new Jining Glorious Orient park in Shandong showcases China’s modernisation and history over the last 100 years, using cutting-edge technology and bold creativity.
