Ferrari World Yas Island in Abu Dhabi is launching the world’s first Ferrari esports arena later this month, offering GT and F1 simulators.

Opening on 29 August, the new arena includes 20 Gran Turismo driving simulators, with 17 for adults and three for younger visitors. It also features three Formula 1 simulators for virtual racing across Grand Prix circuits, including Yas Marina Circuit.

Additionally, there are gaming stations equipped with PCs, the latest consoles, and professional-grade equipment.

Faisal Al Nuaimi, general manager of Ferrari World Yas Island, said: “We are thrilled to introduce our latest innovation. This state-of-the-art facility is designed to immerse visitors in the exhilarating world of virtual racing like never before.

“Our goal is to continuously enhance the park’s offerings, catering to diverse preferences and ensuring there is always something new to experience at the world’s leading theme park.

“This new attraction emphasises our commitment to strengthening tourism in Abu Dhabi and beyond, aligning with the city’s tourism objectives. Whether you’re a seasoned gamer or a first-time visitor, we strive to deliver an unparalleled mix of technology, realism and thrilling competitions.”

New virtual racing experiences

Owned and operated by Miral, Ferrari World is home to world-class rides, attractions and shows. These include Formula Rossa, the world’s fastest coaster, and Mission Ferrari, billed as the world’s most immersive mega-coaster.

The inaugural Esports World Cup is taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this summer. The new gaming and esports district at Qiddiya will serve as the official home of the global esports tournament for the next three years.

Qiddiya’s gaming and esports district features four esports venues for global events, as well as retail, dining and entertainment experiences. It will also house gaming-themed apartments and hotels.
