Hersheypark in Pennsylvania has announced two new Jolly Rancher-themed rides, with the Jolly Rancher Remix roller coaster and the Mix’d Flavored By Jolly Rancher family ride opening this summer.

Hersheypark has redesigned its Sidewinder coaster for Jolly Rancher Remix, Penn Live reports. The boomerang roller coaster offers a sensory experience, with riders enjoying various ‘flavour rides’ through a ‘flavour tunnel’.

Jolly Rancher Remix features music, lights and scents inspired by Jolly Rancher flavours such as green apple and watermelon. The ride, which is one of 15 coasters at Hersheypark, boasts six inversions in 90 seconds.

Mix’d Flavored By Jolly Rancher is a family-friendly ride, located next to Jolly Rancher Remix. Riders will be seated in one of four arms and spin 360 degrees while lifting and dropping.

The $150m Hershey’s Chocolatetown expansion opened at Hersheypark in 2020. The 23-acre land marked the largest investment in Hershey’s history. It is home to Candymonium, the tallest, fastest, and longest coaster at Hersheypark.

Hersheypark‘s CEO, John Lawn, told Blooloop: “Throughout Chocolatetown, we celebrate the life and legacy of Milton Hershey by continuing to bring people together for happiness, fun and, of course, chocolate.”

“Candymonium has been well received. Especially among coaster enthusiasts who praise it as one of the best B&M coasters in operation,” Lawn added.

“Importantly, it also serves as a centrepiece of the new region and showcases excitement from the second you arrive. Our guests have told us they are very happy to be back in the park, making memories in a fun and safe environment. The idea of sharing happiness inspires us this summer more than ever before.”
