IAAPA reveals more details ahead of IAAPA Expo 2023 in Orlando

News
IAAPA Expo

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has announced some new features and attractions for this year’s IAAPA Expo, taking place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, from 13 – 17 November.

This year’s expo has an expanded exhibit area and sponsored programming that spotlights significant industry companies. The indoor show space is sold out for the first time since 2019 – with more than 1,100 exhibitors heading to the event.

“The team has outdone themselves with the number and creativity of sponsorships and only-at-IAAPA Expo programming being offered this year,” says Jakob Wahl, president and chief executive officer for IAAPA. “IAAPA Expo 2023 is going to be great. We wanted to bring new offerings to the participants this year and the team has come up, together with our partners, of many fun ideas to present to the larger attractions industry.”

New highlights

Hasbro sponsors the IAAPA Expo Insider Booklet, which attendees can get upon registering. This booklet unlocks an attractions industry twist on Hasbro’s mystery game CLUE, redesigned earlier this year. Attendees can solve the riddle to win a gift and gain bragging rights among their industry colleagues. The reward may be claimed at IAAPA Member Central and the IAAPA Insider Booklet will be available at entrances to the trade show floor, the exhibit hall entrance, and outside the opening ceremony.

This year’s expo floor will feature a new Alcohol, Beverage, and Innovation Pavilion as IAAPA grows its membership and welcomes additional firms that meet industry demands. 375 Park Avenue Spirits, Dogfish Head, Twisted Tea, Liquid I.V., BuzzBallz, Beverage Management, Craft Standard Draft Cocktails, and Taub Family Wines will be presented in this fully operating bar and networking environment. This is separate from the Food & Beverage Pavilion to accommodate all tastes.

IAAPA has also partnered with Brightline, the new train connection between central and south Florida, to provide attendees with a new way to come to IAAPA Expo. Apply promo code IAAPA15 at checkout to save 15% on certain SMART fares from September through November 17, 2023.

IAAPA Expo will present four drone light shows on particular nights from 10 – 17 November. Central Florida visitors should watch the skies after sunset for airborne displays and a cutting-edge light show sponsored by SkyElements high above the conference centre.

ShimmerTech will sponsor two selfie walls at IAAPA Expo 2023: an 8’x8′ wall on the South Concourse and a giant 9’x26′ display on the North Concourse.

In 2023, IAAPA Expo will replace the trade show programme with Connect+, its official mobile app. Connect+ has the full IAAPA Expo programme, networking features, and exhibitor list. A CaptureLife sponsorship will allow photographers to scan IAAPA Expo badges to sync event photographs to Connect+, providing a customised photo gallery for guests to recall the experience.

Earlier this month, IAAPA announced that it has made three new appointments to its senior leadership team. These significant hires will support the association’s commitment to promoting the global attractions industry.

IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 takes place this month, from 25-28 September at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center in Vienna, Austria.
