Good news if you’re one of the 38,000+ attractions business professionals expected at IAAPA Expo in November: registration is now open for the industry get-together in Orlando.
The trade show and conference, formerly known as IAAPA Attractions Expo, returns to the Orange County Convention Center from November 18 to 22. The show floor will feature more than 1,000 exhibitors, spread over 560,000 net square feet (52,000 sq m).
For the second successive year, the Expo will feature two custom-built structures adjacent to the Convention Center. Named Exploration Station, this will feature more than 100 exhibiting companies.
Learn and celebrate with Universal
Universal will feature in two special events during this year’s IAAPA Expo. On Monday, November 18, George Walker, senior director of Creative Design at Universal Creative, will be the keynote speaker during a Lunch & Learn session. Then on Thursday evening, November 21, the IAAPA Celebrates networking event takes places at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Another confirmed speaker during the week will be Vince Kadlubek. The co-founder and CEO of Meow Wolf will address the Game Changer session, also on Thursday.
In total, there will be more than 100 educational experiences during IAAPA Expo 2019. As well as seminars and panel sessions, this will include behind-the-scenes educational tours (or ‘EDUTours’) to local Orlando-area attractions. There will also be lunches for different international regions and industry sectors, professional development institutes, as well as a series of IAAPA award presentations and fundraising events benefiting Give Kids The World.
A truly international event
Now headquartered in Orlando, IAAPA is the global association for the attractions industry. With an estimated $360 billion global economic impact, the industry plays a vital role within local communities and the global economy. Attendees at this year’s Expo are expected to come from more than 100 countries. They will represent amusement/theme parks, waterparks, family entertainment centres, zoos, aquariums, science centres, museums and more.
