IAAPA reveals highlights ahead of IAAPA Expo Europe 2023

The event in Vienna will include new features with Host City Day and Innovation Stage

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has revealed highlights from the programme for this year’s IAAPA Expo Europe, which is taking place from 25-28 September at the Messe Wien Exhibition & Congress Center in Vienna, Austria.

The conference will present cutting-edge technology and inspiring projects for the worldwide attractions industry.

IAAPA Expo Europe will welcome delegates from around the world to celebrate the work of the European attractions and leisure industry. The 2023 event promises an impressive lineup of exhibitors, EDUSessions, and experiences. The highlights for IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 will showcase the best of the leisure industry and inspire the next generation of innovations in Europe.

Key highlights include:

  • Host City Day. IAAPA will celebrate the host city with its inaugural Host City Day. Three tours are planned to cover developments in F&B, retail, and the culture of business (which will include a tour of Schönbrunn Palace, Austria’s most popular destination).
  • CEO Talk. Prestigious CEOs will take to the stage on 26 September for an insightful discussion on developments in the sector. Delegates will hear directly from industry experts about their creative ideas and pioneering projects. Speakers include Natacha Rafalski, présidente of Disneyland Paris, Amanda Thompson, OBE, ICAE, CEO of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and Susanne Mørch Koch, CEO of Tivoli Gardens.
  • Safety Day. Speakers for this annual event include Emmanuel Calderara, director of prevention safety operations, Disneyland Paris, Roman Hauer, head of ride safety, Mack Riders, and Frank Bersch, safety manager, Efteling. Delegates will learn about the most recent advancements and best practices in ride safety standards, risk management, ride safety design, and safety compliance.
  • EDUSessions. Talks and seminars at IAAPA Expo Europe cover a variety of topics with AI, the art of effective leadership, accessible tourism, hospitality, and how to use data on the agenda. The 2023 event brings a new Innovation Stage to the trade show floor, with an exceptional roster of industry professionals and thought leaders who will share key insights, trends, and best practices through engaging seminars and panel discussions.
