New research will help the organisation focus future sector campaigns

IAAPA, the global association for the attractions industry, has invited attractions industry members to participate in surveys that will help shape how the organisation will operate in the coming years.

IAAPA president and CEO Hal McEvoy says: “Frequently I am asked by members of our community how they can help to support the growth and future of the global attractions industry in a meaningful way, and many times the answer is by sharing your passion, knowledge, and experiences with others.

“Our networks around the world, operating businesses of all sizes and specialities is what makes this the industry of fun!

“I would like to extend the invitation to [industry members], to share your expertise and participate in some very important research projects we at IAAPA have underway in the coming weeks and months.”

IAAPA is seeking feedback from members of the industry with two surveys and a study during March and April 2022.

Helping deliver value

IAAPA will today (16 March) launch its 2022 Membership Survey, partnering with Radius Global Market Research. The survey will be conducted on IAAPA’s behalf to assist the organisation in learning how it can best serve its members.

The association is looking for “open and honest feedback” from members on the services it offers that are found most useful, how satisfied members are with the products and services it provides, and to be able to identify areas where the organisation could improve.

IAAPA says it wants to ensure that it is offering “the best possible value” for its membership fees, and sees feedback as a critical component to its shared success with industry members.

Generating industry growth

Next month, IAAPA will roll out its Global Benchmark Survey, with attractions operators from multiple regions invited to participate. Following the membership survey, the organisation will also commence the IAAPA Economic Impact Study.

Both of these research projects are designed to investigate industry growth opportunities around the world, allowing IAAPA to ensure it has the required information to support the attractions industry by making appropriate cases for policies with officials.

IAAPA regularly publishes updated resources and studies to assist its members to conduct their businesses efficiently, safely, and profitably. When finalised, each study will be added to IAAPA’s online library.

McEvoy continues: “I recognise the time investment these surveys require, but I encourage each of you to participate in these important studies. The quality of our reports is wholly dependent upon the number of participants we receive. We are committed to conducting each of these projects over the spring and summer months and will report on our findings as soon as we are able.”

IAAPA recently announced the cancellation of IAAPA Expo Asia 2022, citing “COVID-19-related uncertainties”, however currently plans to go ahead with similar events in London, UK and Orlando, US, later this year.
