Legacy Entertainment Saudi Arabia debut at SEA Expo

Legacy Entertainment, a leading theme park and resort design company, has announced that it will launch in Saudi Arabia at the Saudi Entertainment and Amusement (SEA) Expo, which is taking place in Riyadh from 7 to 9 May.

Legacy’s president and chief creative officer, Taylor Jeffs, will deliver a keynote presentation. In addition, the firm will present a brand new Expo booth, which has been designed for this event.

Eric Carnagey, Legacy’s managing director and co-owner, comments: “Saudi Arabia is the most exciting market in the world right now. With a combination of vision, talent, and access to capital, there is an opportunity there to transform the way the entire world experiences and consumes the next generation of location-based entertainment.”

Current projects in the region

This is Legacy’s first public presentation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, yet the company has been operating in the region for a number of years. Legacy presently has four projects in the Middle East at varying phases of development and construction.

Although they have a reputation as a leading force in themed attraction design throughout Asia, the executives at Legacy note that they have been waiting for the perfect moment to enter the Saudi Arabian market.

Carnagey says: “A key part of Legacy’s success over the years has been exercising great discretion in selecting the exact right projects with the exact right partners.

“We have waited a long time for just the right opportunities in Saudi Arabia to present themselves, and we are confident that within the very near future, the Legacy brand will be successfully launched in this vital region with the strongest suite of new partners and projects imaginable!”

The SEA Expo this year takes place at a crucial point for the thriving Saudi Arabian market. While there are not many theme parks open in the area at present, one out of five Saudi citizens said they would rather visit a theme park for leisure, according to a recent YouGov survey.

Carnagey adds: “This figure is remarkably strong for a market in its infancy and suggests a bright future for the various parks in that region which are currently under construction, including Six Flags Qiddiya.”

Legacy Entertainment recently reflected on a milestone year and shared details of future openings, ahead of its attendance at the 2023 IAAPA Expo in Orlando.
