Following the success of last year’s educational program aimed at second graders,   LEGOLAND® Florida is offering eight educational field trip programs: Tall Towers, Funtastic Gears, Robotics for Young Beginners, Get Moving, Energy Lab, Amazing Machines, Dr. Heartbeat and Adventure Bot.

Kim Isemann, Director of Sales and Marketing, said, “Research shows that early exposure to math and science, primarily before 3rd grade, increases the likelihood that a child will continue in that field. By showcasing math and science in a fun and interactive way at LEGOLAND Florida, we aim to ensure a positive view of these sometimes difficult subjects.  We’re proud to offer Polk County 2nd graders an opportunity to visit LEGOLAND Florida and experience our education classes.”

The programs have been created with a focus on STEM and the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards and are seasonally priced starting at $8 per student.  All 2nd graders in Polk County Public Schools will get the chance to participate in one of the eight programs free of charge.  The price includes a 45-minute educational session and a full-day at the park.
