The agreement is for an initial three-year period and in addition includes the extension of Lo-Q’s current contract with Dollywood Theme Park for the Q-bot through to 2015.

Jason Boothe, Director of Attractions for Dollywood Theme Park and Dollywood Splash Country, said, “Since installing Lo-Q’s Q-bot solution in 2007, we’ve experienced an overall increase in guest satisfaction and look forward to offering our water park guests the same convenience and benefits the Q-band ride reservation system will bring during the upcoming season.”

Starting from the beginning of the 2013 season, guests at Dollywood’s Splash Country will be able to queue virtually for their favourite rides using the specially branded Time Saver Q-band.  The waterproof RFID wristband will allow guests to make the most of their time in the waterpark by spending less time waiting in line.

Steve Brown, President and Chief Operating Officer of Lo-Q’s North America business, said, “We are thrilled to be extending our partnership with Dollywood for an additional three years. We are also extremely excited that the company has decided to install our additional Q-band system at its water park.  For us, this decision marks another important vote of confidence in the value and capability of our technology.”
