Momentum Leisure has three theme parks in Poland

Momentum Leisure, a leading developer in the leisure and entertainment sector, has partnered with Leisure Expert Group to design new theme parks in Romania and Poland.

Wouter Dekkers, CEO of Momentum Leisure, said the partnership “gives us the opportunity to leverage a great synergy of global expertise and local insights to deliver parks that entertain guests and also suit the needs of the local market”.

In July, Momentum Leisure opened Majaland Gdańsk – its third theme park in Poland. This joined Majaland Kownaty and Majaland Warsaw in the central European country, which were launched in 2018 and 2022 respectively.

In April, Momentum Leisure announced plans to develop new parks adjacent to the Europa Centralna shopping centre in Gliwice, Poland.

Founded in 2008, Momentum Leisure aims to be a major player in the leisure industry in central and eastern Europe. To date, the company has invested approximately €150 million in entertainment projects. By 2030, Momentum Leisure aims to have 10 operational parks in the region.

Leisure Expert Group’s chief experience officer Marjolein van de Stolpe said: “It’s exciting to use our expertise in family entertainment in a new market, especially with IPs from my childhood memories, such as the Smurfs.”

Dekkers added: “Our combined mission is to develop leisure parks that will entertain both locals as well as tourists. With a close collaboration between Momentum Leisure and the Leisure Expert Group, the future of entertainment parks in Romania and Poland promises to be exciting.”
