Momentum Leisure has purchased a 6.7-hectare plot of land to develop a theme park and water park adjacent to the Europa Centralna shopping centre in Gliwice, Poland.
Momentum Leisure, a leading developer in the leisure and entertainment sector, plans to open the family-friendly theme park and water park in 2026.
The new theme park will be Momentum’s fourth in Poland. The new water park will be its second in the country. By 2030, the company aims to have 10 operational parks in central and eastern Europe.
Momentum Leisure bought the land plot from Mitiska Reim, a European investor in convenience real estate.

Wouter Dekkers, CEO of Momentum Leisure, said the partnership with Mitiska Reim is “a real win-win because it integrates shopping and leisure in a perfect location”.
“We are looking forward to developing this site – and perhaps other locations in the future – together,” Dekkers added.
“Moreover, as part of our net-zero strategy, both the theme and water park will be designed to meet the sustainability requirements.”
Sylvie Geuten-Carpentier, managing partner of Mitiska Reim, said the collaboration will “extend the offering of Europa Centralna”.
New parks coming to Europa Centralna
The investment company’s goal is to transform the retail complex into “a go-to destination in the region through a compelling offering of convenience retail, leisure and entertainment”, she added.
Janusz Botorek, co-investor and local operating partner for the shopping centre, said: “We see huge potential for Europa Centralna as a convenience real estate asset.”
Momentum Leisure was founded in 2008 with the purchase of more than 200 hectares of land in Poland. To date, Momentum has invested approximately €150 million in leisure projects, all of it equity financed.
Momentum currently operates Majaland Kownaty and Majaland Warsaw. This year, it will open Majaland Gdańsk, which will be followed by the new park in 2026.
