News
nWave Meg and the Quest of the Holy Spork

nWave Pictures, a multinational producer and distributor of immersive 3D/4D content, will debut its latest 3D/4D attraction, Meg and the Quest for the Holy Spork, at IAAPA Expo Europe 2025.

The event is taking place in Barcelona from 22 to 26 September, with the show floor open from 23 to 25 September.

Attendees will be among the first to see this endearing new adventure on a 3D LED screen setup at the nWave booth, where they can also explore the company’s extensive library of attraction films.

Goedele Gillis, senior VP sales and distribution, says: “We are very happy and excited to present a new 4D film in IAAPA! We received a lot of positive feedback from our fans about Meg. People love this character, probably because she’s bold and fearless but also very caring to her friends.

“So, here she is again:  Meg and the Quest for the Holy Spork!

Immersive family adventure

Meg, the popular skunk from the Chickenhare franchise, is making a comeback in a memorable family adventure that combines action, fun, and emotion.

An experienced martial arts practitioner and an outspoken explorer, Meg is brave and no-nonsense. The attraction film Meg and the Lost Scepter, released in 2022, saw her embark on a quest in search of the lost artefact, the Scepter of the Hamster of Darkness.

In Meg and the Quest for the Holy Spork, audiences join her on an adventure that pushes the limits of technology to provide an outstanding immersive experience.

Together with her friends, Chickenhare and Abe, Meg must try to find the legendary Holy Spork and overcome steep cliffs, perilous forests, and the fearsome lynx Crolloq and her mischievous chameleon sidekicks along the way.

Chickenhare and the Secret of the Groundhog

Amongst other projects in development this year, nWave is also preparing to launch its next feature film, Chickenhare and the Secret of the Groundhog.

In this new release, Chickenhare goes on another exciting adventure to find the mysterious Groundhog, which has the power to reverse time and save his species. When Chickenhare and his friends discover that they are not the only ones searching for this ancient power, the adventure becomes dangerous.

The film premiered at the Annecy Festival, the world’s biggest animation festival, in June 2025. An extensive run of international releases begins in South Africa in September, with France and Benelux following in October.

This summer, nWave opened access to its Professional Area, an online platform which offers access to its complete library of 3D/4D films, including full-length demo screeners.
