Paultons Park wants to build 85 to 95 self-catering units

Paultons Park in Hampshire, England is planning to build an on-site holiday village for around 700 guests. The project is in the early stages.

Local media reports that Paultons Park wants to build 85 to 95 self-catering units, although the holiday village could “potentially take several years”.

The Scandinavian-style resort would include a restaurant and a small shop for groceries, as well as a reception to welcome guests, and rooms for entertainment and games.

The proposed resort would be located next to the existing theme park and car park.

For the new accommodation, Paultons Park has lodged an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening request, which comes before a request for planning permission.

Paultons Park said the holiday village is “essential” for ensuring the theme park’s long-term sustainability in a competitive market.

James Mancey, deputy managing director at Paultons Park, told the Southern Daily Echo: “We are in the very early stages of developing a vision for accommodation at Paultons Park.

“However, with lengthy processes to work through, including securing planning permission, this concept could potentially take several years to come to fruition.

“We are committed to continually reinvesting into our attraction, providing a world-class experience for our guests, and planning for the long-term.

“In the immediacy, we already have extensive and very exciting expansion projects underway and the current works on site remain our priority.”
