Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure‘s expansion project will be delivered in phases, the first of which includes a ‘vertical volcano’ ride.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, a family-owned adventure park in Norfolk, has submitted a full and formal planning application for the most ambitious expansion in its history, with plans including a volcano-themed ride.

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure’s expansion project will be delivered in three phases, the first of which includes a ‘vertical volcano’ ride, high play den, teacup rides, two jumping pillows, and several interactive play concepts.

The expansion also includes F&B outlets, retail offerings and a Jurassic-themed entranceway. Rides and play areas will be surrounded by grassland and trees, designed to enhance the biodiversity and ecological management of the area.

The planning application has been submitted to Broadland District Council, with Roarr! working alongside Katapult, the international guest experience design agency, and landscape architects Liz Lake.

“This project has been three years in the planning, and we are hugely excited to finally submit the full extent of our ambitious expansion, which is designed to provide gentle and exhilarating play opportunities for children up to the age of ten,” said Adam Goymour, park director.

“We are determined that Roarr! will become a UK-wide destination and these plans highlight our commitment and significant investment in the business as well as Norfolk’s thriving and healthy visitor economy.”

Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is an 85-acre park, home to myriad animatronic dinosaurs and attractions such as Dippy’s Splash Zone, Secret Animal Garden, Dinomite Indoor Adventure Play and Dippy’s Theatre.

“We are thrilled to be working with Roarr! to design the vision and master plan for the park expansion,” said Phil Higgins, co-founder and chief creative officer at Katapult.

“It has been a great opportunity for us to bring our experience of working with both global and UK attractions, to design a truly immersive and interactive new land with family fun at its heart.”
