Six Flags Fiesta Texas has revealed more about its new esports facility, which includes gaming PC and console stations with state-of-the-art equipment.

The state-of-the-art campus for competitive gaming, called ESIX Gaming powered by Coca-Cola, was first announced late last year. It opens on 20 May.

“Six Flags Fiesta Texas remains an industry leader in innovation – offering the most incredible and technologically advanced thrills,” said Jeffrey Siebert, park president.

“This cutting-edge gaming arena is a first for the amusement industry, representing our dedication to offering a premium experience in every aspect of our guests’ visit.”

The facility includes an event stage for live esports tournaments in a 5v5 gaming format, and 50 PC gaming stations with 4080 graphics cards, 280Hz monitors, and pro keyboards, mice and headphones.

It also features five console stations and a station for live streaming with pro equipment. This includes a Stream Deck, professional microphone, mixing board with voice changer and lighting in a private sound room.

Additionally, guests will enjoy a lounge with charging stations and a bar menu, as well as a retail space selling gaming equipment. The venue includes a VIP lounge and the Zaragoza Theater for esports events and gaming during tournaments.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is home to more than 60 rides, attractions and shows. The park recently announced plans for the world’s first single-rail racing coaster.

Its current coasters include Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger, The Iron Rattler, Batman: The Ride, and Superman Krypton Coaster.

Elsewhere, Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles will soon be home to California’s largest solar energy project.

The new 12.37-megawatt solar carport will produce 20.8 million kilowatt hours of energy every year, which is equivalent to the electricity consumption of 2,874 homes.

Six Flags is the world’s largest regional theme park company, boasting 27 sites in the US, Mexico and Canada.
