Six Flags‘ 12-acre Hurricane Harbor water park has also opened the Adventure Cove water attraction.

Six Flags St. Louis and Hurricane Harbor have started the summer season with the opening of the new Catwoman Whip thrill ride and Adventure Cove water attraction.

Catwoman Whip is the result of Six Flags’ partnership with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and DC. The ride catapults riders into the air as they spin clockwise and counterclockwise at speeds of up to 52 mph with their feet dangling.

Guests will be greeted by a statue of DC’s Catwoman at the ride’s entrance, located at the top of the park in a renovated plaza area.

“We are excited to finally bring our guests the long-awaited opening of these two great additions,” said park president Phil Liggett

“Catwoman Whip combines height, speed and dual motion to add yet another heart-pounding experience for thrill seekers, while Adventure Cove combines interactive features, slides and new technology to create the perfect water adventure for our younger guests.”

Adventure Cove at the 12-acre Hurricane Harbor water park is designed for children. It features water cannons, jets, blasters and geysers, as well as a ‘Hydro Storm’ bucket, pirate ship and four slides.

Six Flags Great America also teamed up with Warner Bros. Themed Entertainment and DC on the new DC Universe area, which features three reimagined attractions – The Flash: Vertical Velocity, Aquaman Splashdown and DC Super-Villains Swing.

One of the three original Six Flags theme parks, Six Flags St. Louis opened in 1971. It features thrilling rides, shows and attractions, including 10 roller coasters. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor is home to waterslides, a lazy river and a wave pool.

Six Flags is the world’s largest regional theme park company and the largest operator of water parks in North America. It boasts 27 parks across the US, Canada and Mexico.
