The attractions industry has been deeply affected by COVID around the world. Many venues have been forced to remain closed for months, whilst others can only open with reduced capacity.
As the industry begins to reopen again, it is crucial that professionals sustain and learn from each other.
nWave and Triotech present this live discussion that will bring together four industry experts. Joining them will be Simworx and Kuvera Partners to give an overview of the situation for the industry as well as share their best practices for a successful reopening.
COO of nWave Pictures Distribution, Matthieu Gondinet, manages the company’s distribution branch.
With a background in corporate finance, Matthieu Gondinet spent 15 years at Studiocanal. Since joining nWave in 2018 he has aimed to consolidate the company’s position as a leader in creating immersive 2D, 3D and 4D content for FECs and institutional sites.
nWave’s catalogue includes attraction films, ride simulation titles as well as giant screen educational documentaries. Gondinet oversees the worldwide distribution of this content around the world.
Ernest Yale, President, CEO and founder of Triotech, started developing video games whilst in school. This passion and entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Triotech in 1999.
Under his leadership, the company has grown from an arcade video game developer to an award-winning designer and manufacturer of media-based digital interactive attractions.
Triotech has more than 400 attractions in over 70 countries and over 25 million people experience a Triotech ride each year. Ernest Yale still has an active role in the company. He remains involved in developing new technology, product design, sales and marketing.
Ernest Yale was listed as one of Blooloop’s Top 50 Theme Park Influencers in both 2018 and 2019.
Terry Monkton, co-founder and CEO of Simworx, has established Simworx as a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of media-based attractions.
Under his leadership, Simworx attractions are installed around the world and continue to win awards. An accelerated product development program and a proactive expansion of export sales has seen Simworx grow rapidly.
Monkton has overseen the development of 4D cinemas, dynamic motion simulation rides, flying theatres, VR based attractions and more.
He was also listed in Blooloop’s Top 50 Theme Park Influencers of the year in 2018 and 2019.
Tej Sundher is a principal with Kuvera Partners, an LA-based corporation. He is responsible for business development and strategic planning.
Kuvera’s portfolio has grown from 2 to 14 attractions thanks to Sundher. He has also grown the company from only 36 employees to 209 and increased gross revenue by more than 385%.
He led the creative team behind the Aquarium at the Boardwalk. This aquarium is part of the first phase of the development of Branson Boardwalk, a 13-acre mixed-use project in Branson, MO. He is now moving forward with the next stage of this project.
