The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, will host the Storytelling, Architecture, Technology, and Experience (SATE) conference for North America in Kansas City, Missouri, from 12 – 14 October 2023.

Attendees at TEA SATE North America 2023 will be able to enjoy a variety of interactive and educational sessions, as well as networking opportunities and social events. In keeping with this year’s theme, which is “Origins and Influencers: The people, places and ideas that shape our industry”, the association has now revealed an exclusive event: a special visit to Worlds of Fun on 13 October.

World-class food and experiences in Kansas City

As part of this evening event, attendees will have a chance to experience world-famous food and world-class events, without leaving Kansas City. Highlights include dinner, as well as an opportunity to ride the recently updates Zambezi Zinger and to enjoy the Halloween Haunt.

TEA SATE NA 2023 agenda

Other events confirmed to date for TEA SATE North America 2023 include the Hard Hat Laugh O Gram Studio Tour on Wednesday 11 October. This is a free tour of the building where, legend has it, Walt Disney had the inspiration to create Mickey Mouse. The nonprofit group, Thank You Walt Disney, will demonstrate its progress so far in restoring the studio.

Delegates can also sign up to watch the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos NFL Game on Thursday 12 October at Arrowhead Stadium.

Registration for SATE North America 2023 is now open, with an early bird discount available until 29 August 2023. To register, please click here.

This event follows the successful TEA SATE Europe 2023 which took place in May at Europa-Park in Rust, Germany.

Earlier this year, the TEA also announced the release of its latest global attractions attendance report. The TEA/AECOM Theme Index and Museum Index provides information on the world’s most-visited theme parkswater parks and museums.
