The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, has announced that it will be offering a live stream of the 30th Annual Thea Awards Gala, which takes place on Saturday 16 March 2024 at the Loews Hollywood Hotel from 5 pm to midnight.
The annual celebration marks excellence within the themed entertainment industry, highlighting the value of experience design and themed entertainment in engaging visitors worldwide. This year, those unable to attend in person can watch the event live, wherever they are.
The TEA says: “Purchase your live stream ticket now so you don’t miss a moment of the magic. Or share it with a friend or family member who can’t attend the event with you in Hollywood! Even if you can’t physically be in “the room where it happens,” we want you celebrating right alongside us from wherever you are in the world.”

Celebrating excellence
Speaking to blooloop about the Thea Awards earlier this year, president of the TEA’s International Board Melissa Oviedo said:
“The Theas are an opportunity to celebrate excellence together…This is our opportunity to say, ‘Wow: this is amazing. This is excellent. It deserves recognition not only for the operator, owner, or developer who had the foresight to say, this is what I want in my park, museum, or live event, but here is the community of suppliers and partners that contributed to the success.’
“We all know you’ve got to get the right people on the bus, and then in the right seats. That’s how you create something memorable.”
The Gala follows the annual TEA INSPIRE Event, taking place on the 14 and 15 March at the same venue. TEA INSPIRE will present projects that have captivated both audiences and the industry during two days of sessions. The schedule includes a Leadership Forum, a State of the Industry roundtable, Pop-Up Production Sessions, and INSPIRE the Night, an in-park event including a panel discussion with creatives associated with Universal Studios Hollywood’s most popular attractions.
