Themics Philippines Inc., a turnkey theming, animatronic and lighting expert for the leisure and amusement industry, has been chosen to supply theming for the Philippines’ biggest theme park, Pradera Islands, which is currently under construction at the Pradera Verde Resort in Lubao. The firm will create and install all the theming for the park, with the exception of the shotcrete works.

The design and master plan for the park, which is set to open in 2024, was developed by Spanish design company Immersive Planet, who then commissioned Themics Philippines to work on the theming.

Bringing the park’s story to life

Themics will provide entrance signages and archways for all the attractions, as well as safety instructions, exit signage and height signage for the whole park. In addition, heritage facades of buildings and F&B kiosks, paintings on the main entrance and other murals are part of the scope.

Furthermore, the company is helping bring the park’s new characters to life, in order to engage guests with the theme park’s storyline. From shop drawings and the production of the items up to installing them on-site, the Philippine and Netherlands-based company is heavily involved in further enhancing the 23-hectare park’s charm.

Made from high-quality polyester resin (fibreglass) and many other raw materials in the firm’s 300-employee factory, the items have been manufactured in the same province as the future park, in Pampanga.

Currently, a large amount of the items, mostly facades, have already been installed at the park, while many more will be installed soon, with a few more in production. Thanks to the size of this project, Themics has been able to expand its workforce and facility space, and is looking forward to taking on more projects of this size in the future

“We are extremely happy with commissioning Themics for bringing our designs to life,” says Joe L. Garrigo, CEO of Immersive Planet  “The care and attention to detail that they put into their work will lead to the magnificent results we had in mind when we developed the park. Overall, the cooperation with them has been going very well and we wouldn’t hesitate to choose them again for a future project.”

“We are incredibly happy and proud to be a part of this project,” adds Carlo Gortjes, Themics CEO. “Not only because it is a great project for us, but having a Philippine manufacturing facility located almost around the corner, it is exciting that we get to create something wonderful for our own community.

“We love to see the investment in the region which will lead to more jobs and a broader leisure offer for the area. Apart from that, of course, we are thrilled with the trust that has been put into us by Immersive Planet and the client.”

Attendees at IAAPA Expo 2022 will be able to see examples of the company’s work at booth #2278, as well as learning about both past and ongoing projects. To book an appointment in advance, please email.
