Thinkwell Creates New Interactive Attraction for Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood

Worldwide experience design and production agency, Thinkwell Group, has collaborated with Warner Bros to design and and produce a brand new interactive finale to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood.

The 25, 000ft² immersive attraction, Stage 48:Script to Screen, features interactive elements and exhibits to introduce visitors to the process of filmmaking, from the initial script through to post-production. Displays include authentic costumes, sets, and models from films like The Dark Knight, Corpse Bride, and Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

Chris Durmick, Thinkwell Creative Director for Stage 48, described the new attraction as a ‘top-down effort’ and said that there had been an 'amazing' level of involvement and attention from the Studio Executives, Heads of Departments, and the Archive team.

Visitors discover the magic of post-production when go for a ride in a Batpod through the streets of Gotham and take on the role of Harry Potter character, Dobby, using motion capture technology. Further hands-on opportunities include casting a film at an interactive touch table, designing their own Batmobile on an interactive design station as well as dressing computer-generated models in costumes from The Great Gatsby or Camelot.

“The Warner Bros. tour has been providing its visitors with an unparalleled experience inside one of Hollywood’s most storied studios, and Stage 48 is a wonderful finale and a clear demonstration of the studio’s commitment to their guests, ” added Durmick.

The new facility opened on July 16th and includes a brand new cafe and a retail store.
