New 60-seat XD Theatre now open at Happy Valley Tianjin

Triotech, an award-winning creator of media-based attractions, has announced the installation of a new 60-seat XD Theatre at Happy Valley Tianjin, China. The company has a longstanding relationship with the theme park operator, OCT, this being the 9th Triotech XD Theatre to be installed at a Happy Valley location.

OCT has chosen this attraction for several of its theme park venues due to its high THRC, as well as its wide family appeal. The latest XD Theatre installation can be found within the “Viking Harbor” land at Happy Valley Tianjin, a popular park covering 200,000 square metres with over 30 attractions.

A fun experience & solid ROI

“The OCT group and Happy Valley are key clients of Triotech and over the years we have built trust by constantly deploying amazing attractions that deliver a fun guest experience and a solid return on investment for the park”, says Han Jie, Triotech’s Sales General Manager for China.

“China is an important market for Triotech. This is why we have our own subsidiary and office established in Beijing, providing pre and after-sales support. It is always an honour to collaborate with the Happy Valley team to bring best-in-class attractions to amusement park visitors in China.”

The OCT Group first began in 1985 and is now the biggest theme park operator in China, with over 50 million visitors each year. Its portfolio includes eight Happy Valley theme parks.

The immersive XD theatre brings visitors leading motion technology, with 3D stereoscopic movies and special effects. Operators can enjoy a catalogue of over 40 movies, meaning they can change the content to encourage return visits.

Triotech has brought over 50 attractions to China in recent years, covering zoos and theme parks as well as stand-alone attractions. Recently, it announced a new major project with OCT Group, a double interactive walkthrough attraction in Fantasy Valley, Xiangyang.

Last month, the company also launched a new movie for its popular VR interactive coin-op simulator, Storm, called Sugary Slope.
