Universal Orlando transforming Wizarding World for Christmas

Universal Orlando has unveiled the upcoming seasonal experiences at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, running from November 14 through January 3, 2021.

Universal Studios Florida will transform The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's Diagon Alley and London with festive décor and brilliant lighting.

There will be special holiday treats and drinks, as well as an exclusive show for the occasion prepared by Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees.

Universal's Islands of Adventure is also embracing the holiday spirit over at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's Hogsmeade.

The shops will be festively decorated with garlands and lights, all while the Frog Choir sings seasonal melodies.

There will also be special treats and drinks, as well as a dazzling projection of holiday spirit with The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle.

Universal has only been able to reopen Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Japan, while Universal Studios Hollywood remains closed in California.

Comcast executives are optimistic that Universal theme parks will break even in 2021, despite revenue in the third quarter falling nearly 81 percent to $311 million.

Comcast CEOBrian Robertssaid theme parks may have been “the single biggest drag” on the third quarter for NBCUniversal (viaCNBC).

Disneyland recently fired backafter California released restrictive new guidelines under which theme parks in the state could reopen with modifications.
