A new Fast & Furious coaster is coming to the park in 2026

Universal Studios Hollywood is teasing its new Fast & Furious coaster as it announces the closure of the Fast & Furious – Supercharged attraction on the Studio Tour.

Opened in 2015, Fast & Furious – Supercharged serves as the grand finale to Universal Studios Hollywood’s Studio Tour.

Since launching, the attraction has entertained millions of guests, taking riders on a thrilling 3D chase to save another guest from an international crime cartel.

The last day to ride Fast & Furious – Supercharged is 10 March. The attraction will be replaced with a “thrilling new experience” to be announced soon, Universal said.

Fans of the Fast & Furious film franchise will get a new experience in 2026 when Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift opens at the park.

Hollywood Drift will be the theme park’s first-ever high-speed outdoor coaster, also offering a state-of-the-art ride system.

This will include groundbreaking 360-degree rotation of the individual ride vehicles as they race along an elaborate track built with sound reduction technology.

Hollywood Drift will be situated on the Upper Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood. Guests will queue within a garage-style structure before boarding ride vehicles inspired by cars seen in the films.

Scott Strobl, executive VP and general manager at Universal Studios Hollywood, previously said the coaster “will be a powerful game changer that will infuse a new level of thrill into our already dynamic theme park“.

Universal Destinations & Experiences has made a slew of announcements in recent weeks as it expands its offerings across the globe.

The company has unveiled the themed lands for its new family-friendly theme park in Texas, and confirmed an opening date for its year-round horror experience in Las Vegas.

Elsewhere, Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay water park has announced its first-ever nighttime event, and a new Minion Land has opened at Universal Studios Singapore.

And then there’s Epic Universe and a potential UK theme park.
