Universal Studios Hollywood is now selling early access tickets to Super Nintendo World, available from 18 February.

The firstNintendo-themed land in the US officially opens to the public on 17 February. Annual passholder previews are now taking place, and the attraction has already soft launched for technical rehearsals.

Early access tickets cost $20 or $25, depending on the date. They allow guests to enter the land one hour before the park opens. They do not include admission to the park – this must be purchased separately for the same date.

Included in the early access tickets is a one-time express access to the Studio Tour, which is valid until 11am on the selected date.

This is seemingly a way for Universal to encourage visitors to leave Super Nintendo World and make space for other guests arriving later.

Super Nintendo World is home to Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge, one of the most complex rides ever created within the theme park industry. It features cutting-edge AR, projection mapping technology and set pieces.

Highlights also include Bowser’s Castle, Peach’s Castle and Mount Beanpole, as well as the Toadstool Cafe and 1-UP Factory shop.

Last month, Universal Studios Hollywood shared a first look at the land’s Power-Up Band, an interactive wearable designed to gamify the visitor experience.

Using a Power-Up Band, which syncs withUniversal Studios Hollywood‘s free app, guests can compete against other teams to achieve the highest score.

Super Nintendo World debuted atUniversal Studios Japanin 2021. The land is opening as part of Epic Universe at Universal Orlando Resort, and at Universal Studios Singapore.
