Family owned and operated Waldameer Park & Water World will add two new attractions to the amusement park and waterpark in 2018.
Global manufacturer of waterslides, ProSlide Technology Inc, are providing a Cannonbowl 30 slide to Water World, Waldameer’s waterpark. The two-person tube slide uses centrifugal force to move guests down the slide and around the giant bowl at high speed, exiting into a splash pool below.
Work is to to begin on Cannonbowl when the Park closes at the end of the 2017 season.
Attractions manufacturer Zamperla are providing Waldameer’s amusement park with a Samba Balloon Ride. The family friendly ride has eight brightly coloured hot air balloons and will also be ready for the 2018 season.
Waldameer has seen numerous improvements and additions of many new attractions recently including the new “Battle of Lake Erie” water playground which opening in July 2017.
With seven body slides, two large tipping buckets and over 100 other water features, the $2.5 million investment has been a welcome addition to the park.
Season pass sales have improved steadily at Waldameer. First available in 2010, the number of passes sold has increased steadily as the park has added more attractions and offered better value. This year for the first time, if guests buy a 2018 Season Pass they will be able to use it for the remainder of the 2017 season too.
Waldameer also has a no gate charge policy allowing non-riders to still come and enjoy the attraction for free without riding the rides.
