Wiegand, a family-owned manufacturer of toboggan runs, rail-mounted toboggans and stainless steel dry slides, is celebrating the opening of two new treetop cabins at Fårup Sommerland in Denmark.
Guests can spend the night in the trees, surrounded by nature and the starry sky, with a view of the park and its highlights, such as the Falcon wooden coaster and the Orkanen suspended coaster. Each of the two cabins is 50 square metres, with room for a maximum of seven people.
Treetop fun with slides
There are two separate bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with bunks for three people. Plus, there is a loft bed for two people. From the loft, guests can take a ride on a Wiegand slide that goes out onto the terrace and then ends in the children’s room—so even on rainy days, it’s the perfect way to spend time in the house.
The treehouse also has a living room, its own shower and toilet and its own private balcony. The park plans to add more houses will follow if this premiere is successful, and lessons from guest feedback will influence the offerings/looks of the following houses.
Guests can enjoy free WiFi, free parking, and a breakfast buffet at Hotel Fårup. They will have access to the park and waterpark throughout their stay, both on the day of arrival and departure. They will also have exclusive access to selected rides half an hour before the park opens and access to Golf Island, as well as morning hugs from the park’s mascots.
Last summer, Wiegand brought new thrills to the top of Speikboden Mountain in Italy. Next to the popular Wiegand AlpineCoaster, Klausberg-Flitzer, guests can now whizz down seven new terrain slides. These are built into the landscape and have the same difficulty levels as ski slopes: blue for beginners, red and black.
