Tina Blakeney
Vice President of Business Development
TAIT
Tina Blakeney is vice president of business development at TAIT and a key leader within the company’s Montréal studio. With over two decades of experience spanning themed entertainment, live events, and media production, she has led projects across Australia, Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
Blakeney began her career by consulting on pavilions for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo and later served as a fine art curator, showcasing digital and video works by Chinese and international artists. She co-founded a female-led creative studio in Shanghai, working with top brands on immersive, story-driven content.
This led to a collaboration with Walt Disney Imagineering at the Shanghai Disney Resort. In these roles, she helped international brands create culturally sensitive experiential environments, establishing a career in global storytelling and cross-cultural collaboration.
Since joining TAIT in 2017, Blakeney has made significant contributions to the Montréal studio's growth. Her strategic project development and management frameworks enable the team to handle long-term, high-impact projects. She is known for her clarity, leadership under pressure, and ability to align clients, creative teams, engineers, and producers around a shared vision.
Her portfolio features celebrated projects, including Thea Award-winning SeaWorld Abu Dhabi. She contributed as a creative producer to Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter and Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood.
Other notable projects include Currents: Niagara’s Power Transformed, an immersive nighttime experience inside a historic power station, and Wildwoods: Aglow at the Fernbank Museum, a narrative trail that combines storytelling, projection, and light. She is also a strategic partner with Google and TAIT on Feltboard, a new platform for storytelling in physical spaces.
Each of these projects showcases her ability to balance imaginative storytelling with the practical needs of delivering world-class experiences. Her work often acts as the link between creative ideation and real-world execution, especially on complex international initiatives where scope, timelines, and creative ambitions must remain closely aligned.
Outside of project delivery, Tina Blakeney is committed to supporting the next generation of immersive creators. She has served as a mentor with the Zú Mentor Program in Montréal, providing guidance and support to early-career professionals in the media and design fields.
