2nd largest ride investment in park’s 64-year history
WHO: Holiday World President Will Koch will announce his expansion plans for the 2010 season.
WHAT: Announcement, complete with first viewings of animation of the $5.5 million, world-record-breaking ride, will be presented in the park’s Holiday Theater. Visitors to the park that day are welcome to attend the announcement.
WHEN: Thursday, August 13, 2009 at 11:00 am CDT (rain or shine). Announcement is expected to take 15 minutes. Will Koch will be available for interviews following the announcement.
WHERE: The Holiday Theater is located in the Christmas section of Holiday World. Media may access the event by parking in the small lot at the Holiday World Call Center (formerly Santa Claus Post Office) and checking in at the Marketing Office by 10:45 am CDT.
Social Media: For the second year in a row, Holiday World will offer a "sneak peek" of its announcement to its 2, 500+ Twitter Followers and 27, 000+ Facebook Fans. Shortly before the announcement, a series of tweets will appear on Holliday World’s website, blog page, Twitter page and Facebook Fan page.
Video: Animation of the new ride, plus stills from the animation, will be available for media to download from Holiday World’s FTP page on Thursday morning.
