Audiovisual: IVC Continue to support Wimbledon Tennis

News

The start of the 2009 Wimbledon Tennis Championship marks the exciting final stage in the upgrade of the video and audio distribution solutions installed by IVC over the last 2 years as the part of the All England Law Tennis Club’s improvements to the facilities at Wimbledon.

Over the next two weeks the on site IVC engineering team will be supporting the hybrid video and audio distribution systems for the duration of the tournament. The system includes over 800 High Definition Exterity IP TV end points, alongside the original Cabletime MediaStar Pro analogue distribution system used for mission critical areas where the video has to be delivered with zero latency feeding around 300 screens for the Court side commentators and Broadcasters.

Not only is the Exterity HD IP TV solution delivering live images it is also delivering additional information to the debentures area in Centre Court and Court No 1 utilising the internal web browsing capability of the Exterity Solution.

IVC Media have been providing technology solutions to the All England Lawn Tennis Club since our initial appointment in 1995 to install the original system which remains the main stay of the solution in 2009.
