blooloopLIVE, London May 1st: a New Conference for Attractions Professionals

News

As the English Premier League football season approaches a tight finish – “squeaky bum time” as the game’s most successful manager, Manchester United’s Sir Alex Ferguson, used to say  – here at Blooloop it is also a time of much excitement and anticipation as our first conference, blooloopLIVE on May 1st, is less than a fortnight away.

Our aim in staging the conference along with our partners at United Kingdom Trade and Industry (UKTI) was to provide what the UKTI call the Experience Economy i.e. visitor attractions, with its first “cross sector” event.

We wanted delegates from all manner of attractions – zoos, museums, castles, theme parks, water parks etc. – to find the day both relevant and useful and for each speaker to be of interest to everyone in the room. Thus there are no sessions about only parks or aquariums or museums, but instead four that we hope will be appealing to delegates irrespective of which attraction they come from – Brands, Content, Technology and Strategy.

In management-speak, we considered the commonalities and synergies inherent in a meeting up of professionals from across the “experience economy” sector and wanted to subvert the dominant paradigm, run a few ideas up a flagpole and after we’d herded up some cats see how many saluted. Or something like that.

Finally, we wanted to ensure the day would be fun.  Aside from what we hope will be an entertaining day we have also planned an evening function in the historic champagne vaults of a local St. James’s wine bar.  With food and drink and two brilliant live acts (the image at the top is not of 3 typical attractions professionals but of the band JJ Rosa, also featured in the video below)  it should be a great opportunity for networking and making new contacts.

So who should attend blooloopLIVE?

  • Developers and investors
  • Attractions owners/operators
  • Architects, designers, consultants
  • Attractions professionals
  • Vendors/suppliers to the industry

In essence we have put together a conference that we would want to attend. Speakers from a wide variety of successful attractions, subjects that are impacting the industry right now and a glimpse into the future. all topped with lashings of conviviality, networking and live music.

Tickets are still available, with discounts for both groups and TEA members. Contact Vickie.howes@blooloop.com or click here to register.
Cost; £250 for conference, £50 for evening event.
