CLOSTERMANN Design: Thrilling Projects in 2010

News

CLOSTERMANN design starts into the new year at full speed underlining its position as leading provider for theming and turnkey attractions with several new and thrilling projects.

As theming manufacturer, CLOSTERMANN design presently realizes several large projects for theme parks and showmen. For the showman family Koidl of the Viennese Prater CLOSTERMANN design manufactures the dark ride “Atlantis”, which sends guests on an adventurous, interactive journey through the arctic sea. A technical particularity is the assembly of the attraction with containers that facilitate easy transportation and fast installation on site.

For one of Germany’s leading showman families, showman Charles Blume, CLOSTERMANN design is meanwhile conceiving an unusual walkthrough which approaches a humorous, artistic theme.

Another themed walkthrough is also currently being produced for Fårup Sommerland in Denmark. The family attraction, which will open in April, is following the motto of the park for cheery adventures in the deep forest. In a fox cave, guests are lead through winding, subterranean walkways to meet cheeky foxes but also gigantic earthworms and beetles.

In 2009, many of our customers have postponed their decisions. They seem to want to make up for this delay now all the more and we are glad that our entertainment concepts have convinced our clients even over these long decision making phases“, says Matthias Clostermann, CEO of CLOSTERMANN design.

CLOSTERMANN design is also busy in other parts of the world: In South Africa, the Gold Reef City theme park asked for GRP boats for its new white-water ride which is to be opened on time for the Soccer World Championship. In India, Idream Holding of India ordered CLOSTERMANN design for the master planning of a park which will originate in Lavasa, India. Here, CLOSTERMANN design also takes over the production management of several attractions.

Last but not least, CLOSTERMANN design will present the latest animatronic signage for casinos in cooperation with the company Signs4U at the IGE in London at the end of January.

Matthias Clostermann: At the moment all our departments are working on a busy schedule. The current bustling shows that we are well positioned in the market and clients appreciate our competence and individual concepts for all areas of theming and entertainment.“
