The Flambards Experience in Cornwall recently hosted a visit from popular TV characters Thomas the Tank Engine and the Fat Controller, who made personal appearances within the theme park’s indoor Kingsford Venue. As part of the entertainment, family guests were given the opportunity to meet the TV stars and pose for photographs alongside them.

Thomas and Friends celebrated their 65th Anniversary in 2010.  2010 also saw Thomas the Tank Engine and the Fat Controller joining the Rainbow Productions’ portfolio of characters represented under licence and supplied to leisure clients for live events.

2010 has been a busy year for Thomas and the Fat Controller, with recent end of summer appearances at visitor attractions including Harewood House near Leeds plus attendance on behalf of HIT Entertainment at the Amazing Machines special event at LEGOLAND Windsor during the weekend of September 11th and 12th.

The Fat Controller has also been meeting and greeting fans at U.K. Literary Festivals; the month of October will see him making personal appearances in-store at a number of Smyth’s Toys.
