Digital Tourism: Interaction designer Jake Barton and his team at Local Projects / WXY Architecture have created a visitors center for the digital age

Transforming what was once a warehouse for printed brochures into an interactive launchpad for the New York City tourist experience.

The Official NYC Information Center is a happy hybrid of boutique retail design and interactive museum experience, with media elements that “…make the correlation between moving through the space and searching the content.”

See the Official NYC Information Center and meet Jake at the SEGD Dynamic Environments 3 workshop November 12 and 13 in New York. For information or to register, visit www.segd.org/#/learning/index.html or call 202.638.5555.
