Dubai Entertainment Amusement & leisure expo (DEAL) 15th Anniversary Celebrations

News

Despite the well reported slow-down and sidelining of some major projects in the Middle East confidence is still high as the UK once again provides the largest country contingent at this year’s DEAL, 26-28 April 2009.

Eighteen of the 25 companies, are members of ALES-UK and together they comprise about 14% of the total number of firms represented at this major trade show.

In addition ALES-UK are presenting the first ever one-day seminar programme covering such diverse topics as starting a theme park, managing a multi-use facility, staff training, impact on childhood development of amusement games and crisis management.

Internationally renowned speakers include:

  • Bart Dohmen/BRC Imagination Arts, The Netherlands
  • David Camp, ERA, UK
  • Claus Grimand/Profun Abu Dhabi
  • Craig Hart/VP Leisure MAF Group, Dubai
  • Beth Standlee/Trainertainment, USA
  • Frank Seninsky/Amusement Entertainment Management, USA
  • Simon Langdon/Cedarthree Crisis Management, UK.

The Themed Entertainment Association Europe (Middle East sector) are complementing the event by supporting speakers and arranging a Mixer, whilst ALES-UK will finish the Seminar programme with a networking reception.

The evening prior to the exhibition will witness the inaugural meeting and official launch of MELAC, the Middle East Leisure & Attractions Council.

Some 30 companies are expected to attend the launch of what will be the first representative organisation for ME based attraction facility operators and equipment and service providers.

Further information about the DEAL exhibition and the other activities, including registration for the Seminars may be obtained from themeparksdubai.org and tsi_ltd@hotmail.com
