Interschau-Technofolies: Great Interest from the Industry and a Top-class Programme for Exhibitors and Visitors

News

Interschau-Technofolies 2008 in Stuttgart has turned into a magnet: three months before its start, the Deutsche Schaustellerbund (German Showmen’s Association) announces “decidedly positive feedback of many reputable manufacturers, service providers and amusement park operators”, Chief Executive Officer Helmut Gels emphasises.

“Judging by the current state of affairs, the first Interschau-Technofolies to be held on the grounds of the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre will not only continue our previous success at the new location, it will significantly increase it.” confirms trade fair Division Manager Joachim Schubart.

Among other things, for the first time there will be a caravan area at the Interschau-Technofolies 2008 where reputable manufacturers like Weippert or Tabbert for example will present their new products to be exclusively viewed by visitors.

Discussion forum for experts from the industry and large European educational meeting place

The supporting programme includes a “first” for the attractions industry with the presentation of a unique large-scale discussion forum which will take place on the day prior to and on the first day of the trade fair (28 and 29 October) under the title “The BIG Debate”.

It will welcome all participants from the industry to exchange information and to devise common objectives. The forum aims at manufacturers and operators, investors and industry associations, as well as many other experts from a wide variety of different areas. Those interested will be able to register at www.interschau-technofolies.de shortly.

Another focal point of the supporting programme will be the topic of education. Educational institutions and organisations from home and abroad will provide information in a series of presentations, and at their own stand about the possibilities for (further) academic and professional training for travelling professionals.

The following organisations will take part, among others:

•    subject teachers for children and teenagers of travelling professionals
•    ELVET (e-learning for vocational education of travellers)
•    ENTE (European Network for Traveller Education)
•    LARS (learning while travelling)
•    School for Circus Children North-Rhine Westphalia
•    Stichting Rijdende School Netherlands
•    the Catholic Circus and Showmen’s Pastoral Care
•    School at the Circus Association

Industry associations show their colours

Interschau-Technofolies 2008 is supported by the Deutscher Schaustellerbund (DSB – German Showmen’s Association), the Italian Showmen’s Association Anesv-Agis, the European Showmen’s Union (ESU) and the Amusement industry Council of Europe (AiCE) with its manufacturers’ federations from Italy, Spain and the UK.

The ESU will organise an extended committee meeting and host a meeting for the industry in Stuttgart, among other things. The DSB will hold an informal committee meeting during the trade fair and numerous workshops.

Attractive packages for exhibitors and visitors

Together with its partners Travel Point and Stuttgart Marketing, the organiser has assembled some attractive packages, including travel, hotel accommodation with welcome drink, ticket to the trade fair and a visit to the world-famous Mercedes Museum – of course at particularly reasonable package prices.

A permanent VIP shuttle service will be available to take those interested from the new Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre to Breuninger’s department store at the centre of Stuttgart and back.

Activities planned in association with leisure parks in the region will also be on offer as part of visitor packages. For example, it will be possible to visit Tripsdrill Adventure Park with guided tours also behind the scenes. At the trade fair, the operator of the park near Heilbronn will also provide supplementary information about current trends and developments.
