MediaMation, the interactive attraction technologies company and worldwide leading supplier and manufacturer of 4D/5D motion EFX theaters and seats, is to provide a turnkey 4D theater for the Merlin Entertainments’ new LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Yonkers, New York.

Set to open in Spring 2013, the $12m LEGOLAND Discovery Centre (LDC) will be at Westchester’s Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers, New York. The 98-seat Lego® 4D Cinema will have custom seats and include wind, rain, lightning and snow effects. MediaMation’s turnkey theater will include installation and integration of the lighting and 16-channel sound system as well as 3D digital projection, show control and integration. MediaMation will again work closely with German design firm Entertainment Resources on this project.
MediaMation has installed 4D theater technology in all four of the US LEGOLAND Discovery Centres in Chicago, Dallas/Ft Worth, Atlanta, and Kansas City.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centres will be launching a brand new 4D film across all locations by Spring 2013.
