Philippe Segretain is named Chairman of the Compagnie des Alpes Supervisory Board

Subsequent to the recommendation of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, the Supervisory Board of Compagnie des Alpes has decided to name Mr. Philippe Segretain as its chairman, replacing Mr. Dominique Marcel, who recently became Chairman of the Management Board of Compagnie des Alpes. At the same time, Mr. Alain Quinet, CFO and Director of Strategy for the Caisse des Dépôts, was appointed to the Supervisory Board of Compagnie des Alpes, replacing Mr. DominiqueMarcel.

Mr. Philippe Segretain, 65, exercised a great part of his professional career within the Caisse des Dépôts Group. Most notably, he founded and, from 1988 to 2008, presided over Transdev.  Transdev is one of Europe’s leading passenger-transportation companies. Mr. Segretain has participated in the Governance of Compagnie des Alpes since 1992, first as a director and subsequently as a member of the Supervisory Board, since 2000.

The Supervisory Board of Compagnie des Alpes comprises 12 members, in accordance with the rules of the Corporate Governance Charter adopted on May 29, 2004, and revised on October 1, 2007. 

The Board includes:

– four members from the Caisse des Dépôts Group, including the CDA Chairman,
– two representatives of the Compagnie Européenne de Loisirs,
– one representative of Sofival, who is CDA’s Vice-Chairman,
– one representative of the Caisses d’Epargne Group,
– one representative of Crédit Agricole des Savoie,
– one representative of Banque Populaire des Alpes,
– and two independent members.

Terms for all Supervisory Board members will expire after the annual meeting called to deliberate the accounts for the fiscal year ending on September 30, 2009.
