New Name Reflects Unique Approach to Creating "Great Spaces"
In a move that emphasizes its unique approach and underscores its commitment to innovation, PLANNING Design Build announced it is changing its name to Iconica. With a truly integrated delivery system — providing turnkey building solutions to a wide array of commercial and resort clients — Iconica has positioned itself as the first "True Design-Build" company in the rebranding effort.
"It was time for a change, " said Tom Pientka, owner and chief executive officer of Iconica. "Simply put, we believe that the name ‘Iconica’ more accurately reflects our mission and position in the market — as a firm that is redefining the integrated design-build delivery method and leading the industry in creating a better way to build."
Immediate steps to launch the new brand for the company include the introduction of a new website (iconicacreates.com), marketing materials and graphic identity.
Mr. Pientka said that, given the company’s increased differentiation from other "conventional" and "contractual" design-build companies, it was time to signal a major change to its customers and vendors. "There are too many companies out there pretending to deliver design-build, or providing it contractually, " said Pientka. "Our goal is to put a stake in the ground, to use a bold new name and clearly defined positioning to call attention to the very significant differences between ‘True Design-Build’ and all of the ‘wanna-be’s.’"
