Särkänniemi Adventure Park in Tampere, Finland opened its Christmas season on 28th of November with abseiling Santa Claus. 

Santa Claus was abseiling from the highest observation tower in the Nordic countries, the Näsinneula Observation Tower. This Observation Tower is one of Särkänniemi Adventure Park’s attractions. The top of the tower stands at the height of 168 meters. Santa Claus started abseiling from the observation deck, and landed to the roof of the Planetarium below. Journey was about 110 meters and took about 10 minutes. Santa Claus’s safety was secured by local event company Seikkailusepät Ltd.
