2011 season introduces the region’s only Boogie Bahn surf ride, three slides, record-breaking rapids river, whitewater tube chute, ride-up Aqua Veyer, additional attractions and guest amenities.
Visitors from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico visited the new Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark during its first full season of operation in 2010. The huge success of last summer paves the way for a multi-million dollar 2011 expansion including the region’s only Boogie Bahn surf ride, three slides, record-breaking rapids river, whitewater tube chute, ride-up Aqua Veyer, additional attractions and guest amenities.
“Attendance during our first full season exceeded our expectations, ” explained Keith Fontenot, general manager for Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark. “Our unique river tubing experience was well received by our guests. They asked for more and we are excited to introduce more thrilling attractions and amenities for the 2011 season.”
Details about the new attractions and other elements of the plan will be announced soon.
