SCS Interactive collaborated with Silver Mountain Resort to install a customized waterplay attraction in the Resort’s new indoor waterpark, Silver Rapids. Silver Rapids opened its doors on Memorial Day weekend and the SCS structure called The Water Mine at Minor’s Island is a central attraction, catching the eyes and interest of all those who enter the waterpark.
Silver Rapids Waterpark at Silver Mountain resides in Kellogg, Idaho and is the first waterpark of its kind at a ski area in the region. With the opening of the waterpark over Memorial Day weekend, Silver Mountain Resort now offers the unique experience of skiing and surfing in the same visit. SCS is delighted to be part of this new concept and development.
The SCS customized Model 550, called The Water Mine at Minor’s Island, is a creatively themed structure, focusing on the mining history of the region. The structure accommodates close to 165 people at any given time. The 31 foot tall tipping bucket dumps onto Minor’s Island and then flows into the lazy river which weaves its way around the structure to create an island. Also on the island is the themed Water Tower which stands close to 32 feet tall and douses the people below about every 7 minutes with 845 gallons of water.

Guests are able to explore more than 10 climbable decks and soak other guests with the 40 different interactives; such as hydro blasters, sprayers and buckets, as they make their way around the waterplay structure. The structure also has two body flume water slides. This attraction features approximately 3730 square feet of soaking fun, interaction and adventure.
SCS Interactive partnered with ProSlide Technology Inc. of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Aquatic Development Group, Inc. of Cohoes, NY. on this exciting installation.
