News

Silverwood Theme Park will transform, for the third time, into Scarywood Haunted Nights this coming October . Scarywood was such a resounding success in 2010, with attendance doubling from the previous year, that the park will again be investing in a new attraction for 2011.  The new Mind Warp the Maze will rely on misdirection and illusion to create a thrilling and disorienting experience with fear waiting at every missed turn to drag victims… uh, we mean guests into the shadows, and, the only way out is a Vortex!

In addition to some of Silverwood’s most popular summer rides, Scarywood now boasts four bone chilling haunts as well as scare zones scattered throughout the park with unforeseen haunts, creatures and ghouls concealed in fog, strategically placed to keep our guests on the edge of panic and fright.

Blood Bayou forest-themed haunted attraction – unlike anything the Northwest has ever seen – was constructed in 2010 in the museum building which lies just north of Main Street.  New scenes to intensify the terror will be added in 2011.  You’ll be scared with every twist and turn of this diabolical scream machine of a haunt!

Terror Canyon Trail – The Thunder Canyon raft ride will again be drained and converted into the Terror Canyon Trail where you will be stalked by creatures from your worst nightmares.  The all new Freak Farm will create a whole new level of fear.

The Zombiewood Express – Mild-mannered Steam Engine No. 7 will transform into a fortified zombie hunting machine that will take you on an action packed and sometimes humorous battle that only the fearless will survive.  And, in 2011 new zombie adventures and scenes will keep you on edge.

October prices will vary based on the day you attend. Thursdays will be $24.99, Fridays $29.99, and Saturdays $34.99.  Attendance will be limited.  Guests can SAVE $5 on admission when purchasing tickets online at scarywoodhaunt.com.  Buy in advance as some days may sell out.   All of Scarywood’s haunted attractions as well as other Silverwood rides including the jaw dropping Timber Terror Roller Coaster (which will be running backwards and in the dark) will be open.  Also, included in the admission price is a free ticket to return to Silverwood in May 2012.
