Theme Parks & Attractions: Adrian Fisher and Rene Aziz to create new Mirror Maze in Mexico

Rene Aziz, president of Grupo Divertido, Mexico, has appointed Adrian Fisher Design Ltd of Durweston, Dorset to design and create their first Mirror Maze in Mexico.  The contract was signed at the IAAPA Convention in Orlando, Florida, in November 2010, accompanied by Richard Kuri Aziz and Marie Fisher.

Rene Aziz is one of the world’s most experienced and respected leisure operators, being a past World President of IAAPA (The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions).  Rene Aziz has 17 Family Entertainment Centers across Mexico.

Adrian Fisher is the world’s leading maze designer, of over 500 mazes of all kinds.  His company Adrian Fisher Design Ltd is the world’s leading supplier of mirror mazes, having created 35 mirror mazes across Japan, China, Thailand, India, the Middle East, UK, France, Germany, Netherlands and the United States.

"Mexico is a very significant country for us, " said Adrian Fisher.  "it is an important market in its own right.  It is also part of the North American Free Trade Area, as well as having close connections with South America.  We are proud to be including strong Mexican manufacturing content in this project."

Rene and Adrian were introduced by Bob Masterson, himself a past World President of IAAPA, and former World President of Ripleys.  Adrian FIsher designed for Bob Masterson the Palace of Sweets Mirror Maze at Wildwood, New Jersey, USA in June 2010.

"This mirror maze will be one of Adrian’s signature pieces, with vibrant themeing, " said Rene Aziz.  "The chosen subject will remain a closely-guarded secret until we open in 2011."
