Mickey & Friends’ Greeting Trails – New Disney Character Greeting Facility Opens on April 23, 2011

In conjunction with the10th Anniversary of the opening of Tokyo DisneySea® Park, a new Disney character greeting facility will open in Lost River Delta on April 23, 2011. Mickey & Friends’ Greeting Trails, located in the jungle area next to Indiana Jones® Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull, will be a place for guests to meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy and take commemorative photos.

The Disney characters, who are researching and studying the ruins of an ancient civilization as well as the jungle plants and insects, will each be waiting in one of three differently themed structures to greet the guests. At the entrance, guests choose which Disney character they want to meet and follow the trail that leads to the character. Along the way, they can rotate the sections of stone column to jumble or match the character’s head, body and feet. Or they can look at insect specimens through a magnifying glass. These and other activities will make guests feel like explorers themselves.

Mickey & Friends’ Greeting Trails will be the third Disney character greeting to open at Tokyo DisneySea, following the opening of ¡Saludos Amigos! Greeting Dock in May 2010, providing more opportunities for guests to come in contact with the Disney characters. As the Park enters its10th Anniversary, guests and their families will find even more wonderful experiences waiting for them at Tokyo DisneySea.

After Mickey & Friends’ Greeting Trails opens, Donald Duck will replace Mickey Mouse at ¡Saludos Amigos! Greeting Dock.

With the addition of this facility, there will be a total of 32 attractions, Disney character greeting facilities and entertainment facilities at Tokyo DisneySea Park (breakdown: 26 attractions, 3 greeting facilities and 3 entertainment facilities).
