Utopia has been contracted to assist the City of Irvine in the Design and Production of their upcoming city events. Utopia will provide: Event Management, Production and Technical Services, Decor and Design and Graphic Design.
The City of Irvine hosts their events at The Orange County Great Park, which is currently under expansion development. When completed, the park will span 1, 347 acres and will act as a focal point of the redevelopment of the 4, 700 acre former Marine Corps Air Station in El Toro. It will inclue extensive natural areas and open space, in addition to recreational and cultural uses.
Last year’s Great Park Events included:
Festival of Flight — celebrating the Park’s third anniversary
Night Flights — a summer series of concerts and dance parties
Movie on the Lawn
Pumpkin Harvest
Imagination Celebration
Utopia’s first assignment is to create and provide graphic designs which are used in the publicity, marketing and banner scheme for their winter event “The Great Skate!” The event features snow play for kids, ice rink and activities for the entire family.
Utopia is looking forward to working on similar events in the upcoming year and helping to promote and utilize this great public space.
