Waveyard Announces Design, Architecture, Site Planning and Engineering Partners

Since Waveyard, a state-of-the-art water sports resort and international entertainment destination, received overwhelming approval from the residents of Mesa, AZ. last November, its founders have been consumed with all facets of bringing a project of such magnitude to life, including securing the most qualified companies in the country for the design, architecture, site planning and engineering phases. Waveyard is now pleased to announce to the team; The Weber Group from Lexington, KY., Phoenix-based Hunt Construction Group and the Neuman Group located in Beaver Creek, WI.

"After a thorough search and interview process, we feel Waveyard has added a dynamic group of industry experts that will lead us through the planning and development phases of the project and ultimately create the premiere outdoor adventure destination in the world, " said Richard Mladick, co-founder of Waveyard."

As one of the nation’s most decorated architecture firms, The Weber Group brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Waveyard. With a portfolio more than 30 years in the making, past projects include a vast variety of renowned water and amusement parks, museums and hotels including Golf World Lodge, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom and Nickelodeon Central at Paramount’s Carowinds. The Weber Group, under the direction of owner and lead architect Donny Weber will serve as the master project architect. Serving as master architect, Donny will assist Waveyard in developing all project design aspects, ranging from overall brand architecture and thematic design to specific building architecture.

Leading the commercial construction management at Waveyard is Hunt Construction Group. Hunt has been a staple in U.S. commercial construction for more than 60 years and has built more than 20 sports stadiums and numerous resorts and hotels nationwide. In Arizona, Hunt has garnered tremendous notoriety for constructing the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale (home of the Arizona Cardinals), Scottsdale’s W Resort and Spa and Phoenix’s JW Marriot Desert Ridge Resort and Spa.

As the "design/build arm" of Water Technology, Inc., The Neuman Group is an internationally recognized aquatic planning, design and engineering firm with 25 years industry experience. The company will streamline Waveyard’s water entertainment by uniting all planning, engineering, project management and construction phases. Neuman Group’s portfolio boasts an impressive client roster, including Ripley’s entertainment, Paramount Parks, Hershey Entertainment & Resorts and Wave Development.
