Cruise Ship Interiors reveals new Hamburg venue for CSI Europe

News

Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI), the world’s premier exhibition and conference fully dedicated to the cruise ship industry, will be holding the Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe (CSI Europe) event at Germany’s Hamburg Messe Und Congress (HMC) in 2025, Elite Exhibitions has announced.

For the past five years, CSI Europe has served as a community and innovation hub for the European cruise ship interiors industry, providing networking, content, and product sourcing.

The event was first held in 2019 at the Fira de Barcelona and has been based at Excel London since 2021. The move to HMC and Germany strengthens CSI Europe’s position as the region’s leading platform for connecting the cruise ship interiors supply chain.

Serving the cruise industry

Germany, and particularly Hamburg, has long been a significant location for design and manufacturing in the maritime interiors industry. By relocating its operations to HMC, CSI Europe will be able to welcome highly experienced interior designers, outfitters, and suppliers from continental Europe.

Toby Walters, CEO of Elite Exhibitions, says: “Hamburg isn’t just Europe’s cruise hub; it’s a global centre for maritime innovation, offering our exhibitors access to designers, cruise operators, shipyards, and industry leaders. Its prime location and robust cruise infrastructure mean better access for decision-makers, making it the ideal stage for our event.”

CSI Europe is a specialised exhibition and conference for the European cruise interior design business, with an emphasis on luxury ocean, river, and expedition cruise ships.

Heiko M. Stutzinger, CEO of Hamburg Messe und Congress, says: “With CSI Europe, we are gaining a high-calibre event for Hamburg as a trade fair location that complements HMC’s portfolio in a special way. The cruise industry continues to boom, and there is a great demand for sustainable solutions for ship interiors.

“In conjunction with our broad-based maritime network and the modern, centrally located campus of our exhibition centre, together with our partner Elite Exhibitions, we see ideal conditions for the event’s long-term growth.”

CSI Europe’s Hamburg debut will take place from 3 to 4 December 2025. Stand space is now available. The final London edition is being held next week from 4 to 5 December. To register for the 2024 event, please click here.

Last month, CSI revealed its programme of CPD-certified content sessions for CSI Europe. In collaboration with NEWH, the sessions will include an interiors and a hospitality track and are designed to re-invigorate attendees’ creativity and help them to bring their ideas to life.
