This year’s event will feature a new Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone

Cruise Ship Interiors (CSI), the world’s premier exhibition and conference fully dedicated to the cruise ship industry, has announced that registration is now open for this year’s CSI Design Expo Americas in Miami, Florida, from 6 – 7 June. The organiser invites cruise lines, shipyards, design studios, outfitters, and suppliers to take part in the region’s only event dedicated to cruise ship interior design.

For trailblazers in cruise interior design, CSI has put together a programme of events that includes a brand-new Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone, thought-provoking lectures about the subject of the guest experience, and exclusive networking opportunities.

New Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone

The Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone, in partnership with blooloop, opens for business during a period of unprecedented innovation and investment in the cruise industry’s attractions and entertainment sector.

In the short three years since Bolt, the first roller coaster at sea, made its debut on Carnival Mardis Gras, a whole host of announcements from cruise lines have hit the newsstands. Princess Cruises and Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) have both launched their own coasters, and this year, Sun Princess will set sail with the world’s first rollglider at sea.

Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas, the largest ship in the world with the largest waterpark at sea, also made its debut. Among the attractions on board are Pressure Drop, the first open freefall waterslide on a cruise, and Frightening Bolt, the tallest waterslide on the seas.

CSI Design Expo Americas focuses on the specific benefits and difficulties of incorporating these intricate and captivating elements onto cruise ships, in contrast to other events that focus purely on entertainment and attractions. Buyers and suppliers alike will have a platform to be inspired, build contacts, and refine their vision for the industry’s future through focused seminars, panel discussions, networking, and live demos.

Exhibitors including DOF Robotics, Art Attack FX, Greenspan, and others will be present in the Attractions & Entertainment Technology Zone. Cruise companies eager to lead this new wave of innovative guest experiences will have the opportunity to talk with these experts about their products.

Conferences, workshops and more

The event is co-located at the Miami Beach Convention Center with the Hotel & Resort Design South show, welcoming all those involved in designing world-class hotels, resorts, and private island destinations in the South and LATAM.

CSI says: “This year, there’s more to do at CSI than ever before. The program of events is designed to benefit every member of the cruise interiors community, from creatives looking for answers to the questions surrounding the role AI can – or should – play in their workflow, product managers looking to update their company’s materials library to procurement specialists looking to bespoke solutions to their team’s big design challenges.

“The itinerary will include conferences, workshops, Meet The Brand Q&As, sector-specific lunches, and speed networking sessions tailored to everyone from big-picture thinkers who are constantly honing their company’s strategic edge to the movers and shakers to whom networking is the lifeblood of the business.”
